Ryu Kyu kobudō refers to the weapon systems of Okinawan martial arts. Ryukyu Kobudo was developed and systemized by O’ Sensei Taira Shinken. Ryukyu Kobudo uses the following weapons: Bō, Sai,Tekko, Nunchaku, Tonfa, Kama, Tinbe-Rochinand Eku.

     Hanshi Katsuo Shiroma trained in Kobudo under Hanshi Esuki Akamine. Hanshi Eisuke was the successor of O’Sensei Taira Shinken. The Bukenkan dojo also trains students in the art of Kobudo. Hanshi S.Rajamani and Kyoshi S.R. Arun also trained in Kobudo under Hanshi Katsuo Shiroma and trains students in the art of Kobudo in India.
